Sermon Notes: Choose Him!

God gives us peace that surpasses all understanding Matt 6:33

The devil wants us to go through situations so that he can try to steal your peace. Because if he can steal your peace then you might stop believing in God. The Lord is about to come back, we don’t have any more time. It’s time to get right and Choose Him! We have the option to believe that God has us when everything is bad.

When your children go to school, teachers shouldn’t have to do verbal combat with a third grader.

Discipline and training starts in the house. Go to God and ask Him for a plan on how to train your children. Children are supposed to be our future. But our children need to be trained, children are supposed to grow up to become Godly leaders and have an understanding of the Bible.

Because of the lack of discipline and understanding the education system is trying to make robots your children’s teachers. Do you think these robots will talk well about Jesus?

We will have to stand before God for our decisions with our children… so decide to choose Jesus!

1 Sam 16:1-3, 6-12 the Lord told Samuel not to look on outward appearances, because God looks at the heart!

People can fool you for up to 2 years, so it is important to take a step back and have a pragmatic look at your relationship. Don’t get desperate and think you can handle bad behavior, and don’t get caught up in lust so that you don’t see bad behavior.

Consider this, have you all ran into a bad storm? What did they do, did they leave you? It’s not about how good they treat you, it’s not about how similar you are and how much you have in common. That may not be a good thing…  are you where you’re supposed to be?

Pray about the heart, because you can be fooled!

God saw David’s heart while he was in isolation. David wasn’t as big and strong as his brothers, he didn’t look like someone who would be a king, but God looks at the heart. David was in the fields learning about sheep (which are like Gods people) and how to take care of them and protect them from their enemies.
