There is nothing too hard for God. Even when you are going through emotional circumstances, God is there. He defeated mental problems and emotional despair from the foundations of the world.
Even when we go through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, God is with us!
We have a Good Father and we can trust His leading. Because we are His children, we are His responsibility.
We didn’t have to make God, or buy Him, but He made us. We didn’t have to do anything for our Salvation except receive it. Our God can’t be defeated. He defeated death, hell and the grave.
Sometimes we get off the road God has for us, but He loves us and wants to set us free, heal us and deliver us.
God will help you not to miss the mark.
For those of you wondering whether you should celebrate Halloween, the answer is no. Find out more by listening to the podcast episodes about Halloween and reading the companion article here. There you can find out what to do instead. Short answer: have a normal day!
God came to set the captives free.
In Haggai 1:1-9 The people of Israel were living in fancy houses while God’s house was still unfinished. God wanted them to look at what was happening to them because of this.
God asked them why it was that they worked so hard but only got so little.
The people had decided that they would build Gods house later, they didn’t pay their tithes etc. In order to live for God, we can’t just think what we want to think or feel what we want to feel. We have to make a sacrifice. We have to put our ways on the altar.
Some of us only pay tithes, or only pay offering and don’t sow seeds, but that is not what God asks of us. Some of us are lying, stealing, cheating, staying angry, etc. and wonder why you aren’t being blessed.
You are the temple of the Holy Ghost; God will help you keep your covenant.
You are the temple God is rebuilding! God wants to come in and bless you, don’t miss it by doing what you want to do!
It’s time for you to go up to the forest and begin to rebuild your temple. How? By hearing the Word of God and trusting that He will help you to rebuild.
God doesn’t want you to plant much but harvest little or eat and not enjoy. He doesn’t want you to work two or three jobs and still not able to afford to stay alive.
How are you coming to the House of God? Are you acting like you don’t want to be there? Angry, yawning, stretching, falling asleep, looking at your phone the whole time? If you don’t want to go to Church, then don’t go! Don’t heap up coals and curses against yourself!
It is time to consider your ways and think deeply about your heart. Are you thinking about His will for your life? Are you asking Him what He wants you to pray for?
You belong to God! You are not your own!
You can’t go to Church because you don’t feel like it… but what about what the Savior felt?!
It starts with your will and your way, give it up! Then God will take pleasure in you.
Have you ignored God in worship? But during worship God is brining the answers to the very problems you were crying out about.
You are His house, but you are in ruins. Your house doesn’t seek God, offer praise, have the Word, doesn’t worship or pray or pay tithes or sow seeds, or think about things above… so why are you question why the rain is withheld? Why are you wondering why your money is like sand running through your fingers? Even when you try to bring in sources from other ways, it doesn’t work.
Don’t be deceived, God wants you to live a blessed life, but you don’t want it. Because everything we do is supposed to be for God. But everything you are doing is about pleasing yourself or nursing your grudge or focusing on your pain.
Here’s the thing, when you begin to rebuild His house, the Temple of the Lord, He will send the rain, give you new pockets, relieve your stress, give you joy… but you HAVE to do things His way!
